Painting Hayden.
Hayden grew up around Hayden Lake long before Hayden Canyon, Avondale, and the rest of the newer subdivisions. The city proper has a mix of older ranchers from the 70s and 80s, some pre-war farmhouses on the bigger lots, and a steady wave of new builds along Government Way and east toward Hayden Lake.
The lake itself is smaller and quieter than CDA — more cabins than resort customs. Our work here trends toward 30-year exterior repaints and cabinet refinishes in kitchens that haven't been touched since the original build. Older trim on 70s ranchers needs more frequent caulk renewal because of the meaner freeze-thaw at this elevation.
What we see on Hayden homes.
Common home styles
1970s-80s ranchers, pre-war farmhouses on larger Hayden lots, contemporary lake homes along Hayden Lake, and new builds in the subdivisions east and north of town.
Popular projects
Long-overdue exterior repaints on 70s and 80s ranchers, cabinet refinishing in original kitchens, lake-cabin staining and sealing, and interior repaints in homes preparing for resale.
Climate & prep considerations
Hayden's elevation and proximity to the lake mean the freeze-thaw cycles are tougher than in CDA proper. Older trim on 70s ranchers needs more frequent caulk renewal here. Lake-adjacent properties need mildew treatment on north-facing siding.
